Consent Calendar <br /> Newsletter Committee Creation and AI)Dointments to Citize <br /> a. <br />I The Council is asked to oppose the creation of a Citizen Newsletter Committee. <br /> The Council has previously informally discussed this item at previous Council <br /> Worksessions. The mission and scope of this committee may evolve at a future <br />I date to include other communication options, including Cable television and the <br /> Internet. An updated list of the individuals willing to serve on the Newsletter <br /> Committee will be a bench handout at the meeting. <br />.. b. LMC Public Ri!!hts-of-Wav Fundin!! Reouest <br /> The Council is asked to consider a funding request from the League of Minnesota <br />I Cities (LMC) in the amount of $698.00. This financial assistance would be used <br /> to address the US West court challenge oflocal management of the public rights- <br /> of-way. <br />I c. Claims and Payroll <br />I The Council is asked to approve the two July payrolls (No. 14 & No. 15) for the <br /> periods from June 22,1996 to July 19, 1996, and payable claims in the amount of <br /> $226,858.56. <br />I Council may note payments to the City of Roseville in the amount of <br /> $127,129.451 for second quarter water purchases and payments totaling $425.00 <br />I to Ramsey County deputies for extended patrol at Mounds View High School <br /> during the close of the school year. <br />I 6. Unfinished and New Business <br /> a. PerrY Park Final Pay Estimate (No.5) <br />I The Council is asked to approve the final pay estimate to Veit & Company Inc., in <br /> the amount of $27,205.05. This action would release all retainage currently being <br />. withheld. The City Engineer believes that adequate safeguards exist through the <br /> use of the contractor's warrantee bond to resolve any irrigation system <br /> performance issues. <br />I <br />
