I~ <br />I June 12, 1996 <br />~ <br /> Brian Fitsinger - City Administrator r', r- ;'-, r: ; \ f C: f"": <br /> Kevin Ringwald - Community Development Director f"\ c.:' " " <br />I David W, Kriesel - Building Official ., 'y9t- <br /> City of Arden Hills JUf\ "1 ,j ;. -' <br /> 1450 West Highway 96 l ~]': :: i _ 'L \ ' l i'i\\.\..'-- <br />I Arden Hills, .MN 55112-5794 <br /> Appeal to Letter dated April 19, 1996 - Prohibited Fencing <br /> Re: <br />I Mr. Fitsinger: <br /> Mr. Ringwald: <br />I Mr, Kriesel: <br /> This letter is an appeal to the findings stated in Mr, Kriesel's letter dated April 19, 1996, A copy <br />I is attached for your review, <br /> Prior to the construction of our deck and fence, my wife and I had surveyed the neighborhood <br />I quite extensively in order to view different designs and styles and to conform with existing <br /> structures, <br />Ie I can identify at least four properties with fences constructed the same or similar to mine, <br /> You will find a fence located at 13 17 Karth Lake Circle, in total disrepair, of which the finished <br />I side does not face the abutting property nor does it comply with the 30% air flow criteria <br /> There exists another fence located at 1330 Amble Road and again the finished side of the fence <br />I does not face the abutting property and does f10t meet the 30% air flow requirement. <br />I Yet another fence, located at 1575 Roval Hills Dr, does not have the finished side facing the <br /> abutting property f10r does it comply with the 30% air flow stipulation, <br />I There is a new fence, constructed within the last month. located at 1600 Lake Johanna Blvd that <br /> does not conform to the Zoning Code as described by Mr. Kriesel. <br />I I am not a code enforcement officer, yet I noticed the above fences on just one trip to the grocery <br /> store and on ofle trip to work. <br />I I fail to understand what validates these fences and not mine, <br /> I am confident, with little effort, I could locate dozens of fences in Arden Hills as described <br />I above. Therefore, I can not, I will f1ot, be singled out for this unreasonable and unwarranted <br /> complaint. <br />t' <br />I <br />
