Receiving Preliminary Report and Ordering Public <br /> Hearing. 1997 Street Improvements <br /> The Council is asked to adopt Resolution #96-62, receiving the Preliminary <br /> Report and calling a Public Hearing in the matter of the 1997 Street Improvement <br /> Project. The report addresses a total project cost of$709,000. This is <br /> significantly higher than previous years' street projects completed without the <br /> assistance of MSAS dollars, The preliminary reconstruction assessment rate is <br /> estimated at $37.80. This rate includes several construction options which the <br /> Council will be asked to consider. Should the Council elect not to pursue these <br /> options, the rate should be reduced to a level more consistent with historical rates. <br />d. 1997 Policv Adoption Conference and Legislative Policies <br /> Enclosed is a copy of the 1997 City Policies as proposed by the LMC Policy <br /> Committees and Board of Directors: I will be attending this meeting on behalf of <br /> the City. The Council had previously received the policy recommendations of <br /> AMM.
