<br /> T <br /> I CONSTITUTION AND <br /> I- <br /> BYLAWS OF THE <br /> I REGIONAL MUTUAL AID ASSOCIATION <br /> (November 16, 1989) <br /> . ARTICLE I. Name and Purpose <br /> I 1. The political subdivisions which are parties to the "Joint and Cooperative Agreement for Use <br /> of Personnel and Equipment during Emergencies" (the "Agreement"), providing for mutual <br /> assistance among public works departments, shall be known collectively as the "Regional Mutual <br /> I Aid Association" (the "Association"). <br /> 2. The purpose of the "Association" shall be to assist one another in an emergency, to exchange <br /> I ideas of equipment and methods of dealing with emergencies, to protect lives and property of our <br /> respective areas in the case of any emergency or disaster, and to provide other types of mutual <br /> assistance in accordance with the "Agreement". <br /> I 3. The intent of these bylaws is to establish procedures through which the representatives of <br /> members of the "Association" can organize and coordinate their efforts to provide mutual <br /> .. assistance. <br /> I ARTICLE II. Membership <br /> 1. Membership in the "Association" shall refer to public works departments or the equivalent. <br /> I 2. Any city or county public works department in the area that can be of reciprocal service to the <br /> other members of the "Association" may become a member of the "Association" by signing the <br /> I "Agreement", subject to the approval of a simple majority of the members of the "Association". <br /> ARTICLE III. Coordination <br /> I 1. The Coordinator of the "Association" shall perform the following duties: <br /> I a. Maintain a current list of all members of the "Association", including names, addresses, <br /> and telephone numbers of contact persons for each member department. <br /> I b. Maintain a current list of members' equipment, and annually distribute that list to each <br /> member. <br /> I c. Maintain records of the activities of the "Association". <br /> ,. d. Annually give notice of the "Association's" annual meeting. <br /> I 11196 Page 1 <br />
