<br /> . fail to redeem such domestic animal within five (5) days after its <br /> impoundment, not including Sunday or holidays, any other person <br /> may, upon complying with the provision of this division, redeem <br /> such domestic animal from the pound and be the lawful owner of such <br /> domestic animal thereafter. If the domestic animal has been <br /> requested by a licensed educational or scientific institution under <br /> Section 35.71 of Minnesota Statutes, then it shall be given to such <br /> institution and shall not be sold. (Ord. No. 198, 9, 6-27-77) <br /> SECTION 5 -71 . DISPOSITION OF UNREDEEMED DOMESTIC ANIMALS. All <br /> domestic animals impounded under this division which have not been <br /> redeemed or purchased as authorized hereby may be disposed of in a <br /> humane manner by the poundkeeper or any police officer. (Ord. No. <br /> 198, 9, 6-27-77) <br /> SECTION 5-72. INTERFERENCE WITH OFFICERS. It shall be unlawful <br /> for any unauthorized person to break open the pound or to attempt <br /> to do so, or to take or let out any domestic animal therefrom, or <br /> to take or attempt to take from any officer any domestic animal <br /> taken by him/her in compliance with this article, or in any manner <br /> to interfere with or hinder such officer in the discharge of <br /> . his/her/her duties under this article. (Ord. No. 198, la, 6-27-77) <br /> ARTICLE 7. KENNELS <br /> SECTION 5-76. PERMIT REQUIRED. It shall be unlawful for any <br /> person to operate a dog kennel in the City without first having <br /> obtained a kennel permit. The holder of a kennel permit shall <br /> not be required to register each individual dog kept in said <br /> kennel. (Ord. No. 198, 16, 6-27-77) <br /> SECTION 5-77. DURATION: NONTRANSFERABILITY. Kennel permits <br /> shall be for a period of one calendar year or for the portion of <br /> the calendar year following the date of the application, and <br /> shall be nontransferable. (Ord.
