Page 10 <br /> <br />KEM MILLING; <br />EXTENSION AGRMT. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Council was referred to a letter from the Kem Milling <br />Attorney dated 5-26-89 indicating his client is <br />agreeable to extending the date of contract termination. <br /> <br />The Clerk Administrator advised he had contacted Delta Environmental, upon <br />receipt of the letter, to begin the second phase of the environmental audit. <br /> <br />MN. LEAGUE CITIES <br />CONFERENCE <br /> <br />SCHEDULE SPECIAL <br />COUNCIL MTG; 6/5/89 <br />RECYCLING <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator Berger reminded Council that the <br />League of Cities Conference will be held June 6-9, 1989. <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator Berger suggested Council schedule a <br />Special Council Meeting to discuss the continuation of <br />the recycling program with the cancellation of Supercycle <br />contract. <br /> <br />Berger stated he would obtain quotes from several recycling firms and prepare a <br />report for Council review at the meeting; he suggested uninterrupted service to <br />residents would be beneficial to the city recycling program. <br /> <br />Malone moved, seconded by Growe, that Council schedule a <br />Special Council Meeting on Monday, June 5, 1989, at 5:30 p.m., to consider the <br />issue of continuation of the city recycling program. Motion carried unanimously. <br />(5-0) <br /> <br />CANCEL 6/12/89 <br />REG. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Mahowald moved, seconded by Growe, that Council approve <br />Resolution No. 89-36, Supporting Hazardous Materials <br />Training Program for the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire <br />Department. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Malone moved, seconded by Hansen, that Council extend <br />the expiration date of the Temporary Special Use Permit <br />for Farmers Insurance Group to June 27, 1989, due to the <br />6/12/89 Council Meeting. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />Council discussed the Shoreview/Arsenal proposed utility <br />service hookup. It was the Council consenSUb to defer <br />discussion on this matter until the Council worksession <br />scheduled on July 17, 1989. <br /> <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Malone, that the meeting be <br />adjourned at 10:55 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
