RPT (Cont'd) Malone moved, seconded by Hansen, that Council approve <br />the final feasibility report for Lexington Avenue from <br />County Road G-2 to County Road J contingent upon receipt of an executed agreement <br />between the City of Shoreview and the Arsenal for utility hookup and approval of <br />the agreement by the City of Arden Hills. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />RES. #89-35; <br />LMC INSURANCE <br />COVERAGE <br /> <br />Council was referred to a memorandum from Berger dated <br />5-25-89 recommending elimination of Committee and Boards <br />Members from LMC Worker's Compensation Coverage. <br /> <br />The Clerk Administrator advised that Arden Hills is one of only five cities in <br />the State that provides workmen's compensation insurance for volunteers on <br />boards/commission. He also advised the City would be covered by its liability <br />insurance should any volunteer make a claim against the City as a result of an <br />injury. <br /> <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Growe, that Council approve <br />Resolution No. 89-35, Rescinding a Portion of Resolution No. 76-59. Motion <br />carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />MISC; ABSENCE Mayor Sather and Councilmembers Mahowald and Malone <br />advised they will be absent from the Regular Council <br />Meeting scheduled for June 12, 1989. Councilmember Growe advised she would be <br />absent from the Council Worksession scheduled for 6-19-89. <br /> <br />HYDRANT REPLACEMT <br />& STREET EROSION; <br />ARDEN VIEW DRIVE <br /> <br />Councilmember Growe advised she had received a call <br />from Mrs. Hynan at 1397 Arden View Drive relative to <br />a problem with street erosion. Hynan advised she has <br />called the city several times to determine when the <br />and has not received a response. <br /> <br />street will be repaired <br /> <br />Growe also noted there is a fire hydrant in the area that needs to be replaced. <br /> <br />Public Works Supervisor Raddatz stated the bituminous plant in New Brighton has <br />been shut down and as soon as it reopens the street will be overlaid. He advised <br />that he is waiting for parts to repair several fire hydrants that are broken. <br /> <br />Growe requested the Clerk Administrator contact Mrs. Hynan and advise her of the <br />status of both items. <br /> <br />NORMA AVE REPAIR <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone advised that Norma Avenue is in very <br />poor condition. <br /> <br />STREET LIGHT; <br />HAMLINE AVE. <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone questioned if the street light on <br />Hamline will be repaired. <br /> <br />Raddatz stated he contacted NSP and to date has received no answer on repair of <br />the light; he will check into the matter and report to Council. <br /> <br />LJVFD OPEN HOUSE <br /> <br />Councilmember Hansen reported on the LJVFD open house and <br />equipment display. <br /> <br />TCAAP REPORT; <br />GRNDWATER CONDITION <br /> <br />Mayor Sather advised that TCAAP had released the <br />documents relative to the groundwater contamination; <br />he noted the documents are on file at the City of New <br />Brighton and at the arsenal for public review. <br />
