<br /> i" <br /> MINUTES OF THE ARDEN HILLS REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> MONDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 1989, 7:30 P.M. - CITY HALL <br /> CALL TO ORDER Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Sather <br /> called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> - ROLL CALL The roll being called the following members were present: <br /> Mayor Thomas Sather, Councilmembers Nancy Hansen, Paul <br /> Malone, JoAnn Growe and Thomas Mahowald. Also present: Treasurer Frank Green, <br /> Engineer Terry Maurer, Acting City Attorney Ron Riach, Public Works Supervisor <br /> Dan Winkel, Clerk Administrator Gary Berger and Deputy Clerk Catherine Iago. <br /> ADOPT REVISED Mayor Sather advised there were four additional items <br /> AGENDA of routine business under the Consent Calendar and an <br /> additional item of business under Item 7. <br /> Councilmember Hansen requested Item 8.a. under Council Comments be moved to Item <br /> 7.c. under Unfinished and New Business and Item 4.b. under Consent Calendar be <br /> moved to Item 5.b. under Public Comments. <br /> Malone moved, seconded by Mahowald, to adopt the Revised <br /> Agenda with additional items of business and amendments recommended by <br /> Councilmember Hansen. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> PROCLAMATION; Mayor Sather read the requested Proclamation declaring <br /> HOME CARE WEEK the week of November 26 through December 2, 1989, as <br /> 11/26 THRU 12/2/89 Home Care Week in the City of Arden Hills. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR Malone moved, seconded by Growe, that Council approve the <br /> Consent Calendar for the 11/27/89 meeting, including all <br /> . Resolutions and authorize execution of any necessary documents contained therein: <br /> a. Adoption of Resolution #89-50: For Support for Ramsey County Land Acquisition. <br /> b. Item moved to Public Comments. <br /> c. Adoption of Resolution #89-51; For Ringette Grant. <br /> d. Approval of List of Claims and Payroll. <br /> e. Acknowledgment of Treasurer's Report. <br /> f. Adoption of Resolution No. 89-53; Assessment Reapportionment. <br /> g. Adoption of Resolution No. 89-54; Assessment Reapportionment. <br /> h. Adoption of Resolution No. 89-55; Assessment Reapportionment. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> SOD REPLACEMENT; Mr. John Shelendich, 1459 Glenhill Road, appeared before <br /> 1459 GLENHILL RD., Council to discuss the replacement of sod on his property <br /> JOHN SHELENDICH in conjunction with the Glenhill Road improvement. <br /> Shelendich outlined discussions he has had with the Clerk Administrator regarding <br /> the sod installation, the quality of the sod when installed and the fact he <br /> requested the Clerk to demand the contractor for the project replace the <br /> defective sod. He stated he filed a claim in conciliation court against the City <br /> after exhausting all other possibilities and the City did not appear in court. <br /> Shelendich explained after the second court appearance the judgement was in his <br /> . favor and the City Attorney has since appealed the court decision. <br /> Shelendich stated he was not pleased with the administrative handling of this <br /> matter. <br /> -- - ~ ~ <br />
