Motion =ied unanimously. (3-0) <br /> <br />RES. #90-18; <br />AMEND RES. 90-03, <br />rnvESIMENTS <br /> <br />Council was referred to a report from the Clerk <br />Administrator dated 4-4-90, relative to a request from <br />Treasurer Green to designate additional brokerage finns <br />for investments in Federal goverrnnent instruments. <br /> <br />Treasurer Green explained. the arnerxled resolution includes the 4M F'un:l and allows <br />the City more flexibility-with investment options. <br /> <br />Mahowald moved, seconded by Malone, to adopt Resolution <br />No. 90-18, AMENDING RESOwrION NO. 90-03, DESIGNATING BROKERAGE FIRMS FUR <br />rnvESIMENT IN FIDERAL GOVERNMENT INSTRUMENTS. Motion =ied unanilnously. (3-0) <br /> <br />CASE #90-02; SUP <br />GROUP HEALTH, INC, <br />NORI'HW:XlDS DRIVE, <br />OPUS OJRPORATION <br /> <br />Council was referred to the Planner's report and Planning <br />Commission minutes dated 4-4-90, relative to the <br />application for a Special Use Pennit to operate a Medical <br />Clinic in an I-2 District, IDt Combination and site Plan <br />Approval, Northwoods Drive, Opus Corporation. <br /> <br />Bergly reviewed the three actions necessary and explained the Planning Commission <br />recornrnendations for approval on the three actions, with conditions, as outlined <br />in the minutes of 4-4-90. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Caunci11llernber Malone noted the Planner's report states the SUP and site plan <br />require no variances, but the proposed sign exceeds the length requirements. <br /> <br />The Planner explained the sign does meet the minbnum area requirements although <br />sign length exceeds requirements. <br /> <br />Malone recalled a sign variance was granted to American Family Insurance on the <br />adjacent site to accomrnodate their standard identification sign. <br /> <br />Counci11llernber Mahowald questioned the total acreage on this site; referred to two <br />separate figures shown in the d=umentation. <br /> <br />The Project Manager advised the total acreage for this site is 5.95 acres. <br /> <br />counci11llernber Malone questioned if the applicant has received a copy of the <br />Building Inspector's letter of 3-26-90, which lists several concerns relative to <br />this site. <br /> <br />The Project Manager stated he has discussed the letter with the Building <br />Inspector and reviewed all concerns listed. <br /> <br />Malone questioned the extension of Northwoods Drive along the perilneter of the <br />Opus property and the adjacent property to the west. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Planner Bergly advised the preliminary plat of this area shCMed Northwoods as a <br />looped street and OUtlot A will have to be platted prior to development; the City <br />will have to review and approve the platting of this area prior to development. <br /> <br />The Project Manager explained that Opus does not =ently own or control the <br />property identified as OUtlot A. <br />
