<br />Minutes of the Arden Hills Council Worksession, April 23, 1990 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />EASEMENTS; KATIE <br />lANE & S'IOWE AVE. <br /> <br />CouncilInember Hansen advised the PS/W Committee has <br />requested an up:late on the easement en=oachment <br />situation on Katie lane and stowe Avenue. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />In discussion, it was determined that council had agreed to hold a meeting with <br />property owners in this area to identify and discuss the problems the city staff <br />faces when residents place landscaping, fencing or structures on utility <br />easements. Council concurred this approach to resolution of easement <br />en=oachments will serve as the "pilot program" to resolve easement problems <br />throughout the city. <br /> <br />Council con=ed to hold a meeting with residents along Katie Lane and S't=e <br />Avenue, regarding easement en=oachments and methcds for resolving the problem, <br />on 'Ihursciay, May 31, at 7:00 p.m., at the LJVFD Fire station #1, and directed <br />staff to send a notice of the meeting on May 10 to all affected residents. <br /> <br />council directed Fire C11ief Winkel to check on the availability of the Fire <br />station for the meeting and requested staff clearly mark the easements in this <br />area several days prior to the meeting for residents to review the extent of the <br />problem. <br /> <br />REFORl'; REGIONAL <br />RAILROAD MEEI'ING <br /> <br />CouncilInember Malone reported on the Regional Railroad <br />Authority meeting. <br /> <br />Park Director Buckley reported the excellent response <br />received from the businesses along County Road E in <br />regards to the proposed "Flower Power" canpaign. <br /> <br />. Buckley distributed a flyer des=ibing the program and explained tempo:bry <br />part-ti1ne personnel will be needed to install the flewer beds. <br /> <br />FLOWER KlWER <br />CAMPAIGN <br /> <br />BANNER SIGNS <br /> <br />councilInember Malone questioned the banner signs <br />at several locations in the city. <br /> <br />'Ihe Clerk Administrator advised. the Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer <br />is reviewing all the signs to determine if permits have been issued. <br /> <br />UPDATE; OCOR <br />STATEMENT, NEW <br />BRIGH'IDN <br /> <br />Clerk Administrator Berger reported on his discussions <br />with Kevin Locke regarding the recent o:ior bill received <br />from the City of New Brighton. <br /> <br />Berger advised. I=ke that the City preferred itemized statements sent from the <br />City of New Brighton, rather than from New Brighton'S Attorney. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />Malone 11\Oved, seconded by Hansen, to adjourn the meeting <br />at 6:10 p.m. MOtion carried unanimously.
