An <br /> employee cannot receive more than the employee's normal <br /> take-home pay as a result of any City pay supplement to jury <br /> . duty pay. <br /> If the jury is dismissed prior to the end of the employee's <br /> work day, the employee will report to work if practicable. <br /> SECTION 19-19 PARENTAL LEAVE. <br /> Parental leave in conjunction with the birth or adoption of a <br /> child shall be in accordance with State statutes. <br /> SECTION 19-20 HOLIDAYS. <br /> The following eleven (11) eight (8) hour days shall be <br /> observed as paid holidays for regular full-time employees and <br /> pro-rated for regular part-time employees. Temporary <br /> employees are not eligible for paid holidays. No holiday pay <br /> shall be given any employee working less than twenty (20) <br /> hours a week. New employees working at least twenty (20) <br /> hours a week shall receive holiday pay based on the work <br /> schedule for which they have been hired. <br /> l. One floating holiday, (except probationary employees). <br /> When New Year's Day, Independence Day, Veteran's Day or <br /> Christmas Day fall on Sunday, the following Monday shall be a <br /> holiday. When New Year's Day, Independence Day; Veteran's <br /> Day or Christmas Day fall on Saturday, the preceding Friday <br /> shall be a holiday. Floating holidays must have prior <br /> approval of the employee's supervisor. <br /> SECTION 19-21 SEVERANCE PAY. <br /> Regular full-time employees who have completed ten (10) or <br /> more years of continuous service with the City and who are <br /> leaving the City's employment in good standing will receive a <br /> percentage of their unused accumulated sick leave upon <br /> retirement or lay-off. This severance pay benefit will be 33 <br /> 1/3% of the employee's unused accumulated sick leave to a <br /> . maximum benefit of forty (40) days (320 hours) of pay. <br /> -14- <br />
