<br /> ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION - JUNE 5, 2002 3 <br /> Chair Sand asked if the building height was within City Ordinance. Mr. PalTIsh <br />I confirmed it was, <br /> Commissioner Galatowitsch asked if restroom facilities would be addcd in the future, <br /> Bruce Kunkel stated there would not be restrooms added to this building, but there would <br /> be portable rest facilities available. <br /> Chair Sand asked what the future building reference was on the plans. Bruce Kunkel <br /> stated he believed that might be the future restroom enclosure. <br /> Mr. Parrish replied one of the original conditions requested by Council was to have a <br /> rcstroom cnclosure, <br /> Chair Sand opened the public hearing at 7:57 p.m. <br /> There were no comments made at the Public Hearing. <br /> Chair Sand closed the public hearing at 7:58 p.m. <br /> Commissioner Lemberg moved, seconded by Commissioner Ricke, to approve Planning <br /> Case 02-l0, Bethel College, 3900 Bethel A venue, Site Plan Review/Amendment as <br /> presented. <br />I The motion carried unanimously (7-0), <br /> PLANNING CASE 02-11 : SETBACK VARIANCE - TERRY DRAGICH, 1838 <br /> BECKMAN AVENUE - PUBLIC HEARING <br /> Staff reviewed their February 27,2002 report. Staff reviewed the five findings necessary <br /> for a variance. Staff recommended approval of a rcduced rear yard setback of 22 feet, <br /> where 30 fect was required, <br /> Commissioner Zimmerman asked if there was a variance granted for the prcvious <br /> addition. Mr. Parrish replied a previous building inspector had approved the addition for <br /> a previous owner. Hc stated he did not know if a VariallCe had been granted or not. <br /> Terry Dragich, 1838 Beckman Avenue, stated his father-in-law had built the addition and <br /> he had purchased the property hom him. He explained what he knew about the history of <br /> the building or the addition and stated a building permit had been issued for the addition, <br /> but he was not sure if a variance had been approved or not. <br /> Chair Salld asked if they would be going any closer to the lot line than the other end of <br /> the home. Mr. Dragich replied this proposal would not be any closer to the lot line than <br /> the addition. <br />I Chair Sand opened the public hearing at 8:06 p.m. <br /> There were no comments at the Public Hearing. <br /> Chair Sand closed the public bearing at 8:07 p.m. <br /> ----------- ---- <br />
