<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />PARKS, TRAILS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING <br />TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2025, 6:30 PM <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY HALL <br /> <br />CALL MEETING TO ORDER <br /> <br />Committee Chair Dan Dietz called the September 16, 2025, meeting of the Parks, Trails, and <br />Recreation Committee to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Dan Dietz, Nancy Jacobson, Kate Olson, Amelia Rogers, Derek Hilding <br />and Liz Johnson <br /> <br />OTHERS PRESENT: Parks and Recreation Manager Jess Skalicky <br /> <br />ABSENT:. Committee Members Lacy Loosbrock, Kerri Seemann, SJ Julius and Nikhath Nazir <br />Ahmed, and Council Liaison Emily Rousseau <br /> <br />1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br /> <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />A. July 15, 2025 PTRC Minutes <br /> <br />MOTION: Committee Member Olson moved and Committee Member Johnson seconded a <br />motion to approve the meeting minutes, as written. The motion carried unanimously among <br />members present. <br /> <br />3. REPORT <br /> <br />A. Council Liaison Update <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Manager Skalicky said Council Liaison Rousseau could not make it to <br />today’s meeting but she provided some updates for Staff to share. The State the City Address will <br />be on Saturday, September 20 at 10 am. She encouraged everyone to attend. <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Manager Skalicky said a large portion of the Gateway funding will be <br />used for the City’s 75th Anniversary. The Ice Swim that happened in January 2025 will not happen <br />again in 2026. The funding that had been earmarked for that event has been redirected for the <br />anniversary celebration. She specified that money can only be used for marketing events. She said <br />she designed a logo for the 75th Anniversary that will be used to promote the celebration. <br /> <br />Committee Member Johnson clarified that the ice event won’t be happening. <br /> <br />Staff confirmed. <br />
