I I , Although the proposed parking lot on the south side of Guidant Drive South will remove I approximately 52,000 square feet of landscaped area from the Guidant Calnpus, the Campus . still exceeds the minimum landscaping requirement for the I-I Zone. Under this proposal, total landscaped area will decrease from 53.9 to 52.6 percent on the Guidant Campus. Upon full implementation of the Master Plan, the landscaping area is expected to be approximately 53 pcrcent (not including the Arden Woods property). The proposed landscaped berm will be similar in character to the berm along the cast em edgc of the Guidant parking lot to the north of South Guidant Drive on Lexington Ave (the parking lot for the former Control Data building), The berm will range from about 12 to 20 feet higher than the Arden Woods parking lot, which is several fect below Lexington Ave. The landscaped buffer will partially block the view of the parking lot from Lexington Ave. Since there are no new buildings associated with this proposal, the City's requirements for minimum caliper inches oftrecs are not triggered. However the minimum size rcquirements would still apply.
