The motion carried unanimously <br /> (5-0). I <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Council member Keim requested that item 50 be removed from the Consent Calendar. Mayor I <br /> Probst suggested it be considered as Agenda Item 7D. <br /> A. Mutual Aid Agreement <br /> MOTION: Malone moved and Aplikowski seconded a motion to approve the Consent I <br /> Calendar as revised and authorize execution of all necessary documents contained <br /> therein. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). I <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Probst invited the audience to address the Council on any issue not already on the agenda. I <br /> Dwight Warkentin, 1666 Oak Avenue, stated he would like to address the Oak Avenue cuI-de- I <br /> sac and comments made at the last Council meeting. He stated a forty-foot school bus is <br /> considered an oversized vehicle and will have difficulty negotiating many of the, between 50 and <br /> 100, Arden Hills cul-de-sac's. He suggested there are other streets with less optimal turning I <br /> movements than Oak Avenue and congratulated the Council and City Engineer for working with <br /> residents. Mr. Warkentin noted that for 29 years, Oak Avenue had a cul-de-sac which negotiated <br /> bus turnarounds. After the construction project, the diameter actually increased by four feet, the ~ <br /> street width also increased, and surmountable curbing was installed. He noted that the concerns <br /> were raised after snow was on the ground. Since Thanksgiving, snow plows have widened the <br /> turn around and the bus can now navigate the turn around.
