<br /> I <br /> ,- <br /> I CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> f' MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: October 10, 1997 <br /> I TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> Brian Fritsinger, City Administrato@ <br /> I FROM: <br /> SUBJECT: Fourteenth Street NE Road and Utility Improvement Project <br /> I Background <br /> I Attached, the City Council will find Resolution #97-47 accepting the bid and authorizing <br /> execution of the contract in the matter of the Fourteenth Street Road and Utility Improvement <br /> Project. <br /> I Lametti and Sons was the low bidder on this project, and I would recommend the contract be <br /> awarded to their firm. <br /> I Attorney Filla is working on additional language for the award of bid which will allow, if <br /> necessary, for the City to terminate the contract prior to completion of all phases of the contract. <br /> Ie The City Council should be aware that there are two Change Orders which will need to be <br /> considered as a result of this award. The first is in regard to the clearing and grubbing associated <br /> with preparation for the project. The second relates to the change in plan specifications as a <br /> I result of the site plan changes made by Welsh. Additional information on all of these items will <br /> be presented at the Council meeting. <br /> I The City will also need to obtain access agreements from the various property owners prior to <br /> beginning construction. <br /> I Recommendation <br /> Staff recommends the City Council adopt Resolution #97-47, accepting bid and authorizing <br /> I execution of the contract in the matter of the Fourteenth Street NE Road and Utility <br /> Improvement Project, subject to the conditions prepared by Attorney Filla and presented at the <br /> Council meeting. <br /> I <br /> BF/sls <br /> I <br /> I <br /> ae <br /> I <br />
