Shc adviscd that the City does not qualify for <br /> reimbursement of dcbris removal costs since only over-time hours are eligiblc. <br /> Ms. Walsh stated that she did not agrcc with thc proposcd amount ofrcimbursemcnt for . <br /> Cummings Park but the inspector indicated that they reimburse only to the level of what existcd <br /> previously. She advised there will be another inspcctor assigncd to revicw thc area and makc a <br /> dctermination. Ms. Walsh statcd she will kecp the Council informcd if additional funding will be . <br /> receivcd. <br /> Mayor Probst asked if this action will prcclude the ability to scek additional funds. Ms. Walsh . <br /> stated it will not. <br /> Ms. Walsh explained the inspector is using guides cstablishcd by the federal governmcnt for I <br /> equipmcnt rental and salaries. Mr. Dwaync Stafford, Public Works Director, advised that these <br /> rates are bclow the reality. I <br /> Councilmember Malone notcd that whcn thc City acccpted trail funds they wcre required to <br /> abide by new rules. Hc cautioncd against taking funds if it results in additional restrictions or I <br /> rcquirements on the City. <br /> MOTION: Keim moved and Hicks seconded a motion to adopt Resolution #97-45, el <br /> Authorizing Execution of Sub-Grant Agrecment for Federal Assistancc. The <br /> motion carricd unanimously (5-0). <br /> G. Appointment of Consulting Engineer, BRW I <br /> Mr. Fritsinger explained that the Council has exprcssed a desire to evaluate cach of the City's I <br /> consultants on a regular basis and recently completcd its review of proposals from nine <br /> cnginecring firms for the position of City Consulting Engincer. The Council then interviewcd I <br /> four firms for that position and staff did background checks. After evaluating thc proposals, <br /> intervicws, and refcrence checks, the Council directed staff to prcpare a memorandum to appoint <br /> BR W, Inc. as thc City's consulting engineer beginning November 1, 1997, through December I <br /> 31, 1998, and to direct staff to prcpare a contract for scrvices with BRW, Inc. <br /> MOTION: Malone movcd and Hicks seconded a motion to appoint BRW, Inc. as the City's . <br /> consulting engineer bcginning Novembcr 1, 1997, through Deccmber 31, 1998, <br /> and dircct staff to preparc thc appropriate contract for services. The motion <br /> carried 4-0-1, with Probst abstaining. I <br /> ADMINISTRATOR COMMENTS <br /> Mr. Fritsinger reminded the Council that as a result of the Columbus Day holiday, thc next I <br /> mccting will be Tuesday, Octobcr 14, 1997, at thc Army Rcscrvc Center. e. <br /> I <br />
