Economic Development Authoritv (EDA) Budget <br /> The City Council is asked to consider the creation of an EDA fund which can be I <br /> uscd to track the CPI Loan Funds. Additional requests related to the formation of <br /> the EDA will be presented to the City Council later this year. <br /> d. Ouad Ice Arena Agreements I <br /> The City Council is being asked to approve the Master and Supplemental <br /> Agreements related to the Quad Ice Arena project. The Cities of Coon Rapids and I <br /> Blaine have approved participation. The MASC has requested that all actions be <br /> taken no later than January 28, 1997 in order for the project schedule to stay on <br /> track. I <br /> c. 1996 DOER Pay Eouity Comoliance Report <br /> The City Council is asked to approve the 1996 DOER Pay Equity Compliance I <br /> Report. This report is required by the State of Minnesota and is consistent with <br /> Council direction in 1995 and 1996. <br />4. Department Activities I <br /> Enclosed, the City Council will find the monthly department activity reports prepared by - <br /> staff. Should the Council have any questions on these activities, please feel free to ask <br /> them at the meeting. <br /> a. Administration Activities I <br /> 1. Town Hall Meeting I <br /> The planning activities related to the Town Hall meeting have continued. <br /> Bethel College has met with us several times to discuss the details of the <br /> meeting. I have informed Bethel that we will finalize many of the details I <br /> next week. <br /> 2. Building Inspector I <br /> During the month of December, staff completed interviews and completed <br /> background checks on the various applicants for the Building Inspector's I <br /> position. David Scherbel has accepted the position of Building Inspector <br /> with the City. Mr. Scherbel is currently working with the City of <br /> Richfield and is expected to start his employment on January 27, 1997. I <br /> 3. Year-end Activities <br /> Staff worked on a variety of year-end housecleaning issues which varied I <br /> from renewal of licenses, fee schedules, equipment acquisition, employee <br /> appreciation, and pay equity planning. -. <br /> I <br />
