----.-
- I
Administrator Comments for the February 24, 1997 City Council Meeting I
Page Two
February 20,1997 ..
b. Resolution #97-11. Ordering Assessment Hearing. 1997 Street Improvements
The City Council is asked to adopt Resolution #97-11, ordering assessment I
hearing, 1997 Street Improvements. The Hearing is scheduled for March 31,
1997. Hearing notices will be sent to all affected property owners, and published
in the Bulletin. I
c. Resolution #97-09. Approving Bingo Hall License Renewal Application. Pot
0' Gold Bingo I
The City Council is asked to adopt Resolution #97-09, approving Bingo Hall
License renewal application for Pot 0' Gold Bingo. The current license expires in
May. Mr. Post has completed all the necessary background checks and everything I
appears to be in order.
d. GIS Purchase I
The City Council is being asked to authorize the purchase of a variety of GIS-
related hardware, software and technical services. As part of the 1-35W Corridor
Coalition, a bid for services has been received from PlanSight to provide some of I
the basic data. A portion of these items had previously been included in the 1996
municipal budget and a portion in the 1997 budget. With access to other agencies ..
now available through the Cable Commission, staff recommends proceeding with
this item.
e. Water Supply Alarm Svstem I
The Public Safety Commission and Public Works Superintendent Stafford have
reviewed some safety concerns related to our water supply system. The Council I
is being asked to approve an alarm system and other improvements to these
facilities.
f. Infrastructure Plan File Update I
The City Council is being asked to approve the update of the municipal
infrastructure plan. Currently, the as-built plans used by the City are in very poor I
shape with many pages missing, torn or destroyed. Authorization to proceed with
an update would allow the City to work with MSA to reproduce all of our as- I
builts.
4. Department Report I
a. City Hall
I have not yet received the financial analysis from one of the developers I had
contacted in regards to the construction of City Hall on the current site. I have I
been in contact with them to clarify some of the anticipated construction costs and
time frames. Once I have this information, I will provide a report to the City ..
Council on the options available for building on this site, and the status of the
transfer on the arsenal property.
I
~
