PUD Amendment <br /> The Planning Commission has recommended approval of Planning Case #97-05, . <br /> subject to a list of conditions outlined in Mr. Ringwald's Memorandum. <br /> c. Resolution #97-21. Accepting Bid and Authorizing Execution of Contract in I <br /> the MaUer of the 1997 Street Improvement Project <br /> The City Council is asked to adopt Resolution #97-21, Accepting Bid and I <br /> Authorizing Execution of Contract in the Matter of the 1997 Street Improvement <br /> Project. The Council is asked to award the contract to the low bidder, Valley <br /> Paving, Inc. The Council should be aware that the initial 30-day assessment . <br /> appeal period will not expire until April 30, 1997. <br />4. Department Report . <br /> The City Council will find the department report for each of the various City <br /> Departments. Activities related to the Administration Department include: <br /> a. 1998 Bud~et I <br /> Staff has begun preparation for the 1998 Budget. We are currently working on <br /> revisions to the Capital Improvement Plan, and should have some initial .. <br /> information available at the May 19, 1997 Worksession. The Ramsey County <br /> Sheriff has provided the first draft Preliminary Budget for 1998 which includes a I <br /> 3% increase for Arden Hills. <br /> b. Economic Development <br /> Staff has been involved in ongoing meetings with Welsh Development on the . <br /> proposed Gateway Business District (GBD) project. The developer has submitted <br /> new plans, including Phases III and IV. We will be working with attorneys to . <br /> confirm potential EA W and Indirect Source Permit requirements. <br /> The City has received the appraisals on the Naegle property and will be working I <br /> with attorneys to prepare a Purchase Agreement and Memorandum of <br /> Understanding. <br /> Staff prepared the necessary By-Laws for the Economic Development Authority 1 <br /> (EDA), and transferred Fund 522 to the EDA. I have also attended the first <br /> several meetings of the new Business Relations and Business Development . <br /> Committees. <br /> We have also been working with Ehlers and Associates on modifications to the . <br /> existing TIF Districts. Proposed modifications are related to an increase in budget <br /> and boundaries to address potential GBD, residential redevelopment, and TCAAP -- <br /> development. <br /> I <br />
