Oakridl:e Homes <br /> The Planning Commission has recommended approval of the preliminary and <br /> final plat for Planning Case #95-16, Balfany Development Company. <br /> I d. Highway 96 Task Force Recommendation <br /> I The Highway 96 Task Force has recommended a request for technical expertise to <br /> assist with the Highway 96 design, The City has funds budgeted for <br /> miscellaneous professional services which can be used for this project. <br /> I 5. Department Report <br /> The City Council will find the department report enclosed for each of the various City <br /> I Departments. Activities related to the Administration Department include: <br /> General Administration <br /> a. <br /> I Councilmember Aplikowski and I attended the annual League of Minnesota Cities <br /> (LMC) meeting held in St. Cloud on June 11- 13, The broader speakers at the <br /> conference focused on what a community is and how we, as representatives of our <br /> .. communities need to remind ourselves what a difficult job we have, and the <br /> positive things we accomplish, While I was impressed with the general speakers, <br /> I was not as impressed by the individual sessions which were held. The general <br /> I networking with city officials provided more information than the sessions. <br /> I I've attended several meetings on the topic of Local Performance Measures, and <br /> discussed this item at the June Worksession, The City Council will be asked to <br /> approve the application for Local Performance Aid (LPA) at its June 30 meeting. <br /> I b. City Hall <br /> Staff has been meeting with the architect on the programming/space needs study, <br /> I Staff has been reviewing the contract for services with the architect, and I expect <br /> it to be executed shortly. I have also continued to work with the National Guard <br /> on the formal request for transfer of property. <br /> I c. Committee Updates <br /> 1. Fire Services Task Force <br /> , This group has met on several occasions to discuss the fire contract. As a <br /> result, staff has also met with Shoreview, North Oaks, Lake Johanna <br /> Volunteer Fire Department, and the Mounds View/Spring Lake <br /> I ParkIBlaine Volunteer Fire Department to discuss related issues. <br /> .. <br /> I <br />
