Request for Pro1;Josals rRFP) I <br /> I prepared and mailed the RFP for engineering services during this past <br /> month, I anticipate moving forward with a review of these proposals <br /> during August. I <br /> 2. Midwest Asphalt Corporation Litigation <br /> I continue to meet with our attorney on the Midwest litigation, Mediation I <br /> will take place this coming Monday, <br /> 3. Mounds View High School Vandalism I <br /> The Public Works Department has spent a great deal of time trying to stay <br /> caught up on the vandalism/graffiti problems we are experiencing in thc <br /> City, A meeting has been scheduled for August 5, 1997 with the I <br /> Superintendent, High School Principal, and Student Council <br /> representatives to discuss community concerns, <br /> 1. Council Priorities ~ <br /> The City Council has asked for staff to keep them apprised of the workload issues I <br /> related to the priorities established at the 1997 Retreat. Those priorities were: <br /> . Economic Development <br /> . Bricks and Mortar <br /> . Infrastructure I <br /> . TCAAP <br /> Economic Development I <br /> The Gateway Business District (GBD) project continues to move forward as <br /> previously discussed, Mr. Ringwald has also met with a number of other I <br /> businesses looking for funding assistance (CPI, TYCOM), or have general <br /> community interest (NOTT), The Business Development and Business Relations <br /> Committees continue to work on development-related issues, Related to staffing, I <br /> we will be requesting authorization to hire a property acquisition/relocation <br /> specialist to handle any future acquisitions within the GBD, <br /> Bricks and Mortar I <br /> I continue to pursue the design of a new City Hall facility, The City Council will I <br /> be asked to make some decisions on the site location and design issues over the <br /> next two months, <br /> .. <br /> I <br />
