City Issues - Short Term <br />I a. Gateway Business District (GBD) <br />I 1. Welsh Building Elevations <br /> Staff has met with architects representing Welsh Companies to discuss <br /> changes to the building elevations as suggested by the City Council. The <br />I Council will be asked for input as to the revised elevations submitted by <br /> Welsh. <br />Ie 2. Welsh DeveloDment Agreement <br /> Enclosed the City Council will find the second revision to the <br /> Development Agreement. A third revised Development Agreement will <br />I also be presented for Council comment. Staff met with Welsh <br /> representatives late this past week, and have made several changes which <br /> will be included in the third revision. Attorney Deike will be in <br />I attendance to walk the Council through this document. <br /> 3. Bond Issuance <br />I Several members of the Council have raised questions regarding the <br /> issuance of Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Bonds to finance the public <br />I improvements required in the GBD project. Staff would like to briefly <br /> review this subject and issues related to the issuance being completed by <br /> the City or EDA. Representatives from Ehlers and Associates are <br />I expected to be in attendance to answer any questions raised by the City <br /> Council. <br />I b. Selection of Engineer. Determine Review Process <br /> The RFP's for engineering services were due on August 15, 1997. Staff will <br /> provide an update on the number of proposals received, and would like to discuss <br />I the interview and selection process. <br />~ <br />1 <br />
