<br /> -- ---------- --------- <br />I" <br /> . <br />1 CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />f' MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: August 18, 1997 <br />I TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> Kevin Ringwald, Community Development Directo~ <br />I FROM: <br /> SUBJECT: Case #97-06, Preliminary Upgrades to Building Exteriors, <br />I Welsh Companies, 4000 Round Lake Road <br />I Request <br /> The applicant was directed as part of the PUD approval granted on July 14, 1997 to research <br /> modifications for relief at the corners visible from the relocated Fourteenth Street and the City <br />I Council would review these modifications at the time of the final plat. <br /> Background <br />I The applicant is anticipating to submit the final plat for review by the City Council at its <br /> Monday, August 25, 1997 meeting. Therefore, the applicant is requesting preliminary feedback <br /> from the City Council on the upgrades that they have made to the exterior of Phases II, III, and <br />Ie IV. <br /> The City in Planning Case 96-12 approved the Phase I building in the OBD (Exhibit A). <br />1 Subsequent to that, the applicant has been assembling properties to its southeast to facilitate <br /> further development potential in the area. As previously mentioned, the City Council approved <br />I the PUD on July 14, 1997, subject to the exterior of the buildings being modified as generally <br /> discussed at that meeting (Exhibit B). To this end, the applicant has added brick, canopies, and <br /> windows to the Phase II building and brick, windows, wing walls, and a glass curtain wall on . :-~ <br />I Phases 1II and IV (Exhibit C). <br /> Direction Requested <br />I The Staff requests direction from the City Council on the acceptability of the proposed <br /> enhancements to the exterior of the buildings (Phases II, III, and IV) in the OBD. <br />. <br />I <br />I <br />re <br />I <br /> - --------------- <br />
