On September 22, 1997, the City Council interviewed <br /> the following four firms: <br /> I . BRW, Inc. <br /> . Howard R. Green Company <br /> I . McCombs Frank Roos Associates, Inc. <br /> . Orr-Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc. <br /> I. The City Council currently utilizes the services ofHowardR. Green/MSA. They have been the <br /> City's Consultant Engineer for over eight years. During this past year's City Council/Staff <br /> I Retreat, the City Council directed staff to solicit proposals for each of its consultant services over <br /> the next several years. The City Council expressed a desire to evaluate each of our consultants <br /> on a regular basis. <br /> I Back!!ronnd/Reference Checks <br /> Staff completed referencelbackground checks for each of the four firms interviewed this past <br /> I week, and has presented the information to the City Council as it discussed each of the four <br /> proposals. <br /> I Council Discnssion <br /> The City Council, after reviewing all of the information presented, indicated that it desired to <br /> appoint the Consulting Engineer position to BRW, Inc. <br /> . This appointment would be subject to the execution of a contract, and be for the period of <br /> November 1,1997 through December 31,1998. <br /> I Requested Action <br /> I The City Council is asked to consider the appointment of BR W, Inc. as the City's Consulting <br /> Engineer beginning November 1, 1997 through December 31, 1998, and direct staff to prepare a <br /> contract for services with BRW, Inc. <br /> i' <br /> I <br />
