Walsh, Parks and Recreation Director CgJ <br /> SUBJECT: September Monthly Report <br /> I Ramsey County Chore Program <br /> I I am working with staff from the Ramsey County Sheriff s office to find community service <br /> hours for juveniles. Ramsey County is planning to have their CAO (Community Affairs <br /> Officers) supervise the juveniles. Tasks will be performed on Monday- Fridays from 5:00 p.m. - <br /> I 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays. I will be coordinating with Dwayne to develop a list of tasks that <br /> they can perform. The list will be limited since the program takes place during hours when City <br /> Hall is closed. <br /> I Cummings Park Wash-out Repair <br /> Glenn Rehbein Construction has begun to repair the damaged area. I anticipate the project to be <br /> Ie completed by October 15. <br /> I have been meeting with the fEMA representatives from the State of Minnesota and the Federal <br /> I Government. I am not optimistic that the City will be reimbursed for the majority of the work. <br /> The memo enclosed in the packet, which is attached to the resolution for federal assistance, will <br /> include more details. <br /> I Parks and Recreation Commission <br /> I The Commission will meet on September 30. They have concluded the park tours and will be <br /> prioritizing improvements at their next meeting. The commission will appoint members to serve <br /> on the Tony Schmidt Park task force. The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Army Reserve <br /> I Center. <br /> Tony Schmidt Park Redevelopment Task Force <br /> I Ramsey County staff will recommend to the Board of Commissioners the firm of Sanders, <br /> Wehrman and Bergly to develop the master plan for the park. The City has received nine <br /> applications to serve on the task force. There have been more who have called for forms and <br /> I have not yet returned them. The Council will be asked to appoint City representatives in <br /> October. <br /> I Welsh Park Dedication <br /> I have spent a lot of time exploring the trail construction options around Round Lake. Although <br /> .- I have met with the U. S. fish and Wildlife to discuss the trail, there are still some unresolved <br /> I <br />
