<br /> I <br /> I 2. Political Signs. It's that time again. The absence of any major political race has kept the <br /> ,. signage to a minimum. The Staff has been attempting to contact the campaign <br /> headquarters of political candidates who have illegal signs and inform them of the rules <br /> and have them relocate the signs, then if the problem persists then we will take <br /> possession of the illegal signs. It appears that past efforts in combination with this <br /> I approach has been working reasonably well ..... so far. <br /> 3. Leasing Signs. The Staff has not yet started on identifying and taking appropriate action <br /> I on eliminating the various leasing signs which do not meet the sign ordinance. As time <br /> permits, the Staff will be following up on this item. <br /> I Animal Control <br /> 1. Animal Control contract for 1998. The Staff has been reviewing the proposed contract <br /> I for animal control services for 1998. At this point in time, the one outstanding item that <br /> has yet to be resolved is the billing cycle. As soon as this is agreed upon, the Staff will <br /> forward the contract to the City Council for your consideration. <br /> I Recvcling <br /> 1. Score Grant. The Staff has provided Ramsey County Solid Waste with the SCORE <br /> I grants request which was approved by the City Council (Resolution #97-46) on October <br /> 14, 1997. <br /> Ie 2. Fall Clean Up Day. The Cities of Shoreview and Arden Hills held their fall clean up day <br /> on Saturday, October 4, 1997 at the Shoreview Community Center. The fall clean up day <br /> was visited by 97 residents from the City of Arden Hills. The residents of Shoreview and <br /> I Arden Hills dropped off 130 appliances, 279 tires, 65 batteries, 60 tons of demolition <br /> material, 26.5 tons of general trash, 1 ton of branches, and numerous items for the <br /> Goodwill. <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> .. <br /> I <br />
