<br /> I <br /> I <br /> WORKPLACE VIOLENCE POLICY .. <br /> The City of Arden Hills seeks to provide a safe and secure workplace environment for <br /> employees, volunteers, vendors, and citizens. Violence, or the threat of violence has no I <br /> place in any City of Arden Hills facility. <br /> This policy addresses the City's commitment to preventing the potentiai for violence in I <br /> and around the workplace and to fostering a work environment of respect and healthy <br /> conflict resolution. <br /> Many City employees may be exposed to vioience by the nature of their jobs. Violence, I <br /> or the threat of violence, by or against any City employee or other person while at a City <br /> of Arden Hills workplace is unacceptable and may subject the individual to serious I <br /> disciplinary action and/or criminal charges. <br /> The City of Arden Hills will take every reasonable action to protect the life, safety and I <br /> health of employees and will provide as rapid and coordinated a response as possible to <br /> violence or threats of violence at any worksite. <br /> Possession, use, or threat of use, of an object which could be considered a dangerous I <br /> weapon, including all firearms, is not permitted at the workplace, or on City property, <br /> including City vehicles, uniess such possession or use is an approved requirement of the " <br /> job. <br /> The City of Arden Hills is committed to providing a workplace environment in which all its I <br /> officials and employees treat each other, their customers and clients, and all others with <br /> courtesy, dignity and respect. <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> .. <br /> I <br />
