<br /> I <br /> I <br /> WORK SCHEDULES .. <br /> The hours of work shall be those established by the City for the efficient conduct of City <br /> . business. The normal work day consists of eight (8) hours. The normal work week for <br /> regular City employees shall be five (5) days, Monday through Friday and shall consist I <br /> of forty (40) hours. Employees shall be granted a rest break not to exceed fifteen (15) <br /> minutes away from job duties on two separate occasions during each work shift and a <br /> one-half hour lunch break. Meal periods are not paid, not included in the computation of I <br /> overtime, nor included in the computation of a normal work shift or payroll period. In <br /> order to provide for continuity in City operations, the timing of these breaks is subject to <br /> the approval of the supervisor in charge. I <br /> For non-exempt employees time worked in excess of forty hours in a week is considered <br /> overtime and is payable at one and one-half the employee's regular rate of pay. I <br /> All overtime must be approved by the City Administrator except in cases of emergency. <br /> Department heads and supervisory empioyees are required to put in the lime necessary I <br /> to perform their jobs. <br /> The City Administrator may change the working schedules of City employees as needed.
