Other incidents which constitute cause. <br /> I SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY REGARDING DISCIPLINE AND DISCHARGE <br /> I Supervisors have the authority to impose oral and written reprimands without the prior <br /> approval of the City Administrator. <br /> I Upon the recommendation of the City Administrator, and with approval of the City <br /> Council, an employee may be suspended without pay to a maximum of thirty (30) <br /> I continuous work days in any given calendar year. <br /> An employee may be demoted or discharged by the City Council. Employees shall be <br /> I notified in writing of suspension without pay, demotion or discharge. Such notice shall <br /> include the cause for such action. <br /> I The employee may grieve disciplinary action or discharge in accordance with the <br /> established grievance procedure. Grievances of disciplinary action may be initiated at <br /> Step 2 of the procedure. If the grievance is upheld, the employee shall receive all <br /> Ie payments, benefits and service accrual which the employee would have earned during <br /> the period of suspension without pay, demotion or discharge.
