Overtime work is work performed in excess of forty (40) hours <br /> in a seven (7) day period. Overtime shall be paid at one and one-half(1-1/2) times the I <br /> basic hourly rate of compensation. <br /> Compensatory time must be authorized by the supervisor or the City Administrator in I <br /> advance taking such compensatory time. Regular and probationary full-time and part-time <br /> employees may receive and accrue compensatory time in lieu of payment for hours <br /> worked over the normal forty hours in one work week. I <br /> Non-exempt employees - will receive compensatory time at the rate of one and <br /> one-half times the hours worked over forty hours. I <br /> Exempt employees - may receive compensatory time on an hour for hour basis.
