The front of the house faces south toward Amble Drive and <br /> thc eastern side of the house is adjacent to Lexington A venuc. To increase privacy and <br /> decrease noise from Lexington Avenue, the applieant is proposing to construct a six foot <br /> high, 100 percent opaque fence along the eastern side of the property facing Lexington <br /> Avenue. According to the proposal, the fence would angle into the property at a 45 degree <br /> angle (toward the southwest) twenty from the Amble Drive curb and would extend for <br /> approximately twcnty feet facing Amble Drive. <br /> When Lexington Avenue was reconstructed in 2005, a number of large trees that helped <br /> protect the privacy of 1 105 Amble Drive werc removed. The widening of Lexington Avenue <br /> and the addition of a turning lane brought the road closer to the subject property.
