He <br /> stated he had lived in his home since 1990 and when he bought his housc this land was <br /> owned by thc City. He stated he would now have buildings facing his back yard and <br /> asked how his property value would be affected. He indicated he was paying property <br /> taxes on a value of S460,000 and he believed his property values would go down. He <br /> noted thcrc was also an access onto Highway 96 from Keithson. He stated they had to <br /> wait a long time to take a left He stated there was a bad traffic problem in his area. He <br /> noted with the addition of 250 parking spots, this would be "a travesty." He cxprcsscd <br /> concern that the building was too close to his property and with the building being two <br /> stOJies, in the winter his privacy would be gone because they would be looking into his <br /> . backyard. He askcd if the officc complex would be open on the weekends. He stated this <br /> project was rcjccted oncc beforc and all thcy did was to "recycle the project." He <br /> believcd the City and thc County should protcct the rights of the homeowners in the area. <br /> He believed in democracy, but he felt this was infiinging on his rights as a long-term <br /> citizcn.
