Chair Sand closed the public hearing at 7:48 p.m. <br /> Commissioner McClung asked if the County was comfortable with two driveways onto <br /> Lake Joharma Boulevard. Mr. Lehnhoff respondcd the County did request the two <br /> driveways. <br /> Chair Sand asked how far down or up Siems Court did this stormwater improvement <br /> work extend. Ms. Giga responded 100 or 200 feet north of Arden Place, which was <br /> approximately what flowed there right now. <br /> Chair Sand asked if the driveway cuts had been designated at this time. Ms. Giga <br /> responded the driveway cuts would be put in when the property was developed. Mr. <br /> Lehnhoff stated that Ramsey County would determine the location of the driveways. <br /> Commissioner McClung asked if they wanted this to meet the NERP standard, how much <br /> more square footage would be required. Ms. Giga responded she did not have that <br /> information and she would need to check with URS. <br /> Commissioner McClung stated he would support this because he believed this was in the <br /> best interest of the City and the neighborhood. He believed the City Engineer had taken a <br /> lot of time to ensure this would work. He stated this was an improvcment for this arca. <br /> . Mr. Lchnhoff requested a Condition 17 to state: The applicallt shall provide soil borings <br /> or other proof that the building pads are buildable prior to filing the final plat and subject <br /> to City Engineer review. <br /> Commissioner Larson moved, seconded by Commissioner Zimmerman to approve <br /> Plalming Case No. 06-026, Preliminary Plat, Arlene Boutin, 1600 Lake Johanna <br /> Boulevard, subject to the sixteen conditions as noted in staff s August 30, 2006 report <br /> and condition 17 as added by staff. <br /> The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS <br /> A. 34XX LAKE JOHANNA LANDSCAPING PRELIMINARY REVIEW <br /> Mr. Lehnhoff statcd a property on the western side of Lake Johanna was clear-cut at the <br /> end of July, which is in violation of the shoreland ordinance. The property does not have <br /> an assigned address, but it is located immediately south of3441 Lake Johanna Blvd on <br /> the western side of Lake Johanna. Staff has been working with the property owner to <br /> resolve the situation to produce a positive outcome for the City and the neighborhood. <br /> While it is a regrettable situation, the property owner has been very cooperative with the <br /> City. <br /> . <br /> ---- <br />
