Page I of I
.
.
Hellegers, Peter ~
- --.- ,---.------.--.. '-._--. ."------
From: Warren Pakulski Ipakulski1809@comcast.net]
Sent: Wednesday, April 13, 2005 8:11 AM
To: peler, h ellegers@ci.arden-hills,mn.us
Subject: PC#05-12, PUD and Plat Royal Oaks Realty
Peter, sorry I have a conflict on April 19th, but will try to attend the May 5th Planning
Commission Meeting on the above subject
My recommendation is a concern in seeing the parking lot and cars from 96 when this project
is completed, Just drive south on 35E, between Highway 36 and Larpenter. On both sides of
35E are business parks which have the buildings in the back of the lot and the parking in front
Very big eye sore to see all that black-top, oil drip spots, and cars parked,
I thought the modern trend was to put the buildings by the street and enclose the parking or
put the cars in back? Look at the business village in Maple Grove, or the Senior Housing in
Shoreview, on the east side of Lexington north of Lake Josephine, or the Senior Housing on
the corner of southeast corner of Snelling and Larpenter, Both projects have the buildings on
the street and the parking out of view.
What I propose for the above project, is to move or reposition the building shown with units # I
4,5,6,7 & 8; and, building shown with units# 15,16,17,18,19; from the back (south side) of
the lot to the edge next to 96 (on the north side).
This way we would only see the buildings and not the parking lots and cars ( in some years the
big piles of snow that are plowed from the lots) from 96, and, the buildings would not be seen
by the town houses to the south of the project.
~
~ :' ~ -"", ';:J _.~ ".-" "._'i v,;u '--'!".ii' ''-''vI!
that evening) but will be at the Planning Meeting on May 5th.
Please contact me if I have been unclear. Please pass my comments to the Mayor and Council
Members,
Thank YOU.
Warren Pakulski
4545 Pleasant Drive
651.6389338 (office)
651633.4833 (home.
e
4/1 V200S
