CALL TO ORDER <br /> Committee Member Henry called the November 18, 2003 meeting of the Parks, Trails and <br /> Recreation Committee to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Committee Members Jim Crassweller, Bill Henry, Don Messerly, and <br /> J oani Werner. <br /> OTHERS PRESENT: Tom Moore, Operations and Maintenance Director; and Kim Points, <br /> Recording Secretary. <br /> MEMBERS NOT PRESENT: Committee Member Steve Zilmer, Rich Straumann, and Roberta <br /> Thompson, and Council Liaison David Grant. <br /> . 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> . Approve October 29, 2003 Minutes <br /> MOTION: Committee Member Crasswel1er motioned, Committee Member Werner <br /> seconded, to approve the October 29, 2003 minutes as presented. The motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> 3. COUNCIL UPDATE <br /> Operations and Maintenance Director Moore provided the Committee the following update: <br /> . Council has informally approved the Operating and ClP Budget for 2004. The <br /> Budgets will go before the Council for approval in early December after the Truth in <br /> Taxation hearing. <br /> . Council has confirmed their commitment to the Perry Park Pavilion. The Council has <br /> also approved an additional $55,000 expenditure for Perry Park. <br /> . Council has approved that half of the charitable gambling donations would <br /> automatically transfer into the Parks Fund every year. The estimated donation this <br /> . year is approximately $42,500. The funds for Parks have been very limited because <br /> the City has grown out and there is no longer much development.
