Council has three candidates for the position of Finance Director. The second <br /> interviews will be held in December. It is anticipated that someone will be in place <br /> by the end of the year. <br /> . The south side of Highway 96 now has both lanes open. <br /> . The City has an updated parks and trails system map. He asked the Committee <br /> Members to review the map and make any necessary changes or corrections. <br /> . Lexington A venue will be redone in 2005 from Highway 96 to Victoria. The trail <br /> connection within the City of Arden Hills will be redone. <br /> . Council would like the PTRC to look at a pedestrian signal at Hamline near <br /> Cummings Park. Staff has looked into a solar power light signal that costs <br /> approximately $50,000. <br /> . Council approved the widening of the County Road E bridge and trail component of <br /> . Freeway Park to Lindey's. <br /> MOTION: Committee Member Crassweller motioned, seconded by Committee Member <br /> Henry, that there is never another parks, trails and recreation periodic brochure <br /> that is published without a warning that states "When walking on roadways please <br /> walk facing traffic". He suggested that warning be printed on the parks and trails <br /> map. <br /> Committee Member Werner inquired about a history of problems with the suggested warning. <br /> Committee Member Crassweller advised he has tried to put that warning statement in the <br /> brochures since he became a committee member. He stated the warning was printed once. The <br /> situation is very dangerous and needs to be addressed. <br /> Committee Member Messerly stated the warning statement should be a recommendation from <br /> the PTRC. Committee Member Crassweller agreed the motion is a recommendation to the <br /> Council. <br /> The motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Moore advised he would have staff call the Vice President of Student Services of Bethel to <br /> discuss that issue. <br /> . <br />
