<br /> Arden Hills Parksl Trails and Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> November 18, 2003 <br /> Page40f5 <br /> . The area will continue to be used for the next several weeks. The trail connection also <br /> has to come in to the facility by the warming house. <br /> Committee Member Crassweller suggested the City do a small ice rink at Valentine Park that <br /> includes an ice trail going around the existing fields. <br /> Mr. Moore indicated that is a possibility. However, wherever ice is put in the grass will die. He <br /> indicated staff would look into that possibility. <br /> 6. PERRY PARK UPDATE <br /> Mr. Moore provided the Committee with an update on the progress for the Perry Park facility. <br /> He reviewed the following issues with the Committee: <br /> . Staffis still meeting with the HCM Architects. The budget is now down to $359,000. <br /> The overall total cost needs to be trimmed to $350,000. Staff will have up to date plans <br /> in January. <br /> . Letters to residents in the Perry Park area have been sent out advising citizens of what <br /> work has been done and outlining what work will be completed in 2004. Information <br /> . regarding the trail plan will also be included to residents. <br /> Committee Member Werner asked ifthere would be an opening ceremony in the spring. Mr. <br /> Moore indicated he believes there will be some sort of ceremony. <br /> . Guidant Corporation has withdrawn their offer for the $ 1 million dollar band shell. <br /> Guidant Corporation donated the band shell to Ramsey County. Ramsey County is going <br /> to place the band shell at Snail Lake Park <br /> 7. MEMBERSHIP ON THE PTRC FOR 2004 <br /> Mr. Moore advised Council would like confirmation from all Committee Members regarding <br /> continued participation in the PTRC. He noted Rich Straumann has indicated he would like to <br /> stay on the PTRC for another year. <br /> Mr. Moore advised he received e-mail from Mr. Straumann regarding a tour of the TCAPP <br /> facility. Dave Hamernick is willing to give a tour of the facility. He has requested three possible <br /> dates. <br /> The PTRC suggested Mr. Straumann select a convenient date for the tour. <br /> . Committee Member Henry suggested the tour be a special event and Committee Members invite <br /> significant others. <br />
