5 <br />Snow Plowing Operations for Trails 320 FTE labor hours estimated per event; 2 FTEs required; high <br />priority. <br />The map, shown below, is for snowplow Route 4 which includes park system trails and street-side <br />sidewalks. The operators for this route also plow and salt the City Hall parking lot and sidewalks. When a <br />full citywide plow event takes place, Route 4 is completed alongside the street routes when Public <br />Works is fully staffed. <br />PW Staff need to plow/ clean-up street side sidewalks 1-3 times following a snow event of 2” or more <br />(during normal working hours). This is primarily due to Ramsey County snow removal operations and <br />their priority to public safety along county roads. <br />Note – With the addition of new trail segments, the timeframe for trail snow removal may be longer <br />with our current resources.
