Public Works Director / City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Perry Park, Sampson Park, and Ingerson Park Improvement Project <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />$ 520,000 — Perry Park $TBD PIR — Parks <br />$ 360,000 — Ingerson Park <br />$ 315,000 — Sampson Park <br />Council Should Consider <br />Council should consider the project scope for the proposed 2027 Park Improvement <br />Project at Perry Park, Sampson Park, and Ingerson Park. <br />Council should consider requesting a proposal from an Engineering Consultant. <br />Background <br />In the 2026-2030 CIP, Perry Park, Ingerson Park, and Sampson Park are scheduled for <br />improvements in 2027 (Attachment A). All scheduled park -related capital projects are included <br />in Attachment A for Council's reference. <br />Sampson Park and Ingerson Park play structures and swings were built in 2001 and 2000, <br />respectively. Under the City's Park Maintenance Management Plan, park equipment is replaced <br />on a 20-year cycle. <br />Ingerson Park is scheduled to receive a new trail connection between Fernwood Ct and Lake Ln. <br />The Park Maintenance Management Plan states that hard courts should be resurfaced every 5-8 <br />years, with a 25-35 year life expectancy depending on conditions. Sampson Park's basketball <br />court is scheduled for resurfacing in 2027 and is showing signs of needed rehabilitation. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
