Benefits of a Sidewalk/Trail System - Cindy Wheeler <br /> Committee Member Wheeler presented the Committee with a brief overview of the benefits of a <br /> sidewalk and trail system. She provided the Committee with several documents for their review <br /> including: <br /> . Benefits of Trails and Greenways, Trails and Greenways Clearinghouse <br /> . Health and Wellness Benefits, Trails and Greenways Clearinghouse <br /> 8. NEXT MEETING AGENDA <br /> . Roger Williams presentation and discussion - PTRC Vision Statement II <br />. 9. OLD BUSINESS <br /> Committee Member Straumann referenced Ramsey County stating that there are eight meetings <br /> coming and suggested that the PTRC should be represented at the meetings that have impact on <br /> the City of Arden Hills. He provided the Committee with an update on the Active Living <br /> Meetings. He noted that it was a smaller group comprised of several representatives from <br /> various health organizations adding that there were some very good discussions. <br /> Committee Member Wheeler noted that the Tony Schmidt County Park would be impacted by <br /> the redesign of35 and reviewed with the Committee. <br /> Mr. Moore stated that members of the PTRC would be receiving a letter from the Mayor inviting <br /> them to attend a dinner scheduled for Wednesday, November 9,2005 at 6:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. <br /> He explained that the dinner is being held to honor and recognize Commission members, <br /> Committee Members and Task Force Members for the work they have done in support of the <br /> City. He stated that the Mayor plans to have an open discussion format and would like to have a <br /> discussion around what they think the City could do to better itself. <br /> Committee Member McClung stated that the Ramsey County Friends of the Park is doing their <br /> annual Fall Tree Sale. He stated that information regarding the tree sale would be included in the <br /> monthly newsletter. <br />. <br />
