These <br /> include the appointment of Council member Dale Hicks as Acting Mayor for <br /> 1998; Council Committee Liaisons and membership for the various Commissions, <br /> Committees and Task Forces for 1998; professional consultants; and other <br /> required appointments. <br /> d. Res, #98-07. Establishing the Fee Schedule for 1998 <br /> The City Council is asked to adopt Resolution #98-07, Establishing the Fee <br /> Schedule for 1998. The only significant change is for the retail sale of tobacco. <br /> e 1998 Pay Plan (Employee Insurance - Maximum City Contribution) <br /> The Council may wish to take further action on the monthly maximum City <br /> contribution for the non-union employees. <br /> f. 1998 Town Hall Meeting. Final Plans and Discussion <br /> The City Council is asked to review the final plans for the January 10, 1998 Town <br /> Hall meeting, and provide fecdback to staff as it prepares for this undertaking. <br /> - 5. Department Report <br /> The City Council will find the department report enclosed for each of the various <br /> City Departments. Activities related to the Administration Department include: <br /> a. General Administration <br /> 1. City Hall <br /> Staff has continued negotiations with the National Guard on the transfer of <br /> property for the construction of the new City Hall. Several meetings were <br /> held with various officials. <br /> Staff had several meetings with the architect in order to complete the <br /> programming and schematic design for the new facilities. These designs <br /> were presented at the December Council Worksession for initial City <br /> Council review and comment. <br /> Staff has now begun working on specific site issues at the arsenal related <br /> to City Hall, and the legal description of the property to be transferred. <br /> Related to the existing City Hall, Braun Intertech conducted air tests to <br /> determine if any problems exist with the air quality. A report is expected <br /> - shortly. <br />
