Codification Staff met with LMC officials for additional code revisions and completed the review of Chapters 1 - 3 with the City Council. 3. Cable Franchise Staff prepared an additional ordinance to allow for the extension of the existing franchise agreement. This will allow for final negotiations to take place on the pending franchise agreement. 4. Liquor Licenses Staff reviewed and prepared the 1998 Liquor License renewals which were approved in December. 5. Town Hall Meeting Staff has continued to prepare for the 1998 Town Hall meeting. This has included two bulk mailings to Arden Hills residents, and various press releases and Letters to the Editor. A final review will be presented to the City Council on January 5, 1998. b. Committee Updates - I. Miscellaneous Christmas cards were prepared and mailed to all committee members on behalf of the City Council. Staff has attended additional meetings of the League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) Improving Service Delivery Committee to discuss potential reactions to legislative actions on changes to State Building Code as a result of air quality problems in new homes. 2. Newsletter Committee The combined December/January holiday issue was finalized and mailed to residents. 3. Arden Hills/Shoreview Joint Youth Commission This commission held its first meeting in December. Staff is preparing for a second meeting to be held in January. Only two students attended the first meeting, but several others have contacted the City about attending future meetings. c, Community Develojlment 1. I-35W Corridor Coalition - The Board of Directors held ajoint meeting with the Community Development Directors to discuss the 1998 Action Plan for the Coalition.
