Codification <br /> Staff met with LMC officials for additional code revisions and completed <br /> the review of Chapters 1 - 3 with the City Council. <br /> 3. Cable Franchise <br /> Staff prepared an additional ordinance to allow for the extension of the <br /> existing franchise agreement. This will allow for final negotiations to take <br /> place on the pending franchise agreement. <br /> 4. Liquor Licenses <br /> Staff reviewed and prepared the 1998 Liquor License renewals which were <br /> approved in December. <br /> 5. Town Hall Meeting <br /> Staff has continued to prepare for the 1998 Town Hall meeting. This has <br /> included two bulk mailings to Arden Hills residents, and various press <br /> releases and Letters to the Editor. A final review will be presented to the <br /> City Council on January 5, 1998. <br /> b. Committee Updates - <br /> I. Miscellaneous <br /> Christmas cards were prepared and mailed to all committee members on <br /> behalf of the City Council. Staff has attended additional meetings of the <br /> League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) Improving Service Delivery <br /> Committee to discuss potential reactions to legislative actions on changes <br /> to State Building Code as a result of air quality problems in new homes. <br /> 2. Newsletter Committee <br /> The combined December/January holiday issue was finalized and mailed <br /> to residents. <br /> 3. Arden Hills/Shoreview Joint Youth Commission <br /> This commission held its first meeting in December. Staff is preparing for <br /> a second meeting to be held in January. Only two students attended the <br /> first meeting, but several others have contacted the City about attending <br /> future meetings. <br /> c, Community Develojlment <br /> 1. I-35W Corridor Coalition - <br /> The Board of Directors held ajoint meeting with the Community <br /> Development Directors to discuss the 1998 Action Plan for the Coalition. <br />
