Operating Costs - refer to table on page X-5. <br /> 0, Operating Fund Source <br /> Funding for the maintenance and operation of the park is appropriated from <br /> County tax revenues. <br /> E. Safety <br /> 1, Police - the Ramsey County Sheriffs Department will provide the <br /> necessary police service (i.e, law enforcement, security and first aid for <br /> trail corridor safety), <br /> 2, Fire - the Lake Johanna, New Brighton and Mounds View fire <br /> departments will provide the necessary fire protection services for the <br /> site relative to their respective jurisdiction, <br /> 3, Ambulance - emergency ambulance service, when needed, will be <br />. summoned by the Ramsey County Sheriffs Department. Generally, the <br /> Ramsey County Sheriffs Department will use the ambulance service <br /> provided or recommended by the respective municipality, <br /> F. Disease Control <br /> 1, Human and Animal - Ramsey County and the respective city's of Arden <br /> Hills, Mounds View, New Brighton and Shoreview have responsibilities <br /> for human and animal disease control. The Ramsey County Public <br /> Health Department will have the primary responsibility for human as well <br /> as animal health problems. The respective cities will continue to provide <br /> the services in animal control which they presently provide, <br /> 2, Plant Disease Control - the Ramsey County Parks and Recreation <br /> Department will be responsible for plant disease control (i.e, Dutch Elm <br /> and Oak Wilt disease) and noxious weed control. <br /> G. Stewardship <br /> The Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department will, with its own <br /> maintenance forces or by contractor, restore the disturbed portions of the <br /> site to a natural condition, This will involve removal of any man-made <br />. debris, fences and any other unnatural material, and the backfilling and <br /> revegetation of excavated or eroded areas, <br /> X-3 <br />
