MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: December 31,1997 <br /> TO: Brian Fritsinger, City Administrator <br /> ./'\ <br /> FROM: Dwayne Stafford, Public Works Superintendent \~~ <br /> SUBJECT: Highway 96/Highway 10 Corridor Traffic Study <br /> Background <br /> The City of Arden Hills has reviewed several design options for the upgrade of Highway <br /> 96 within the City of Arden Hills, The latest drawings presented to the Staff and City <br /> Council by Ramsey County and Minnesota Department of Transportation officials <br /> proposed a Highway 10 overpass at Highway 96 with no reasonable connections between <br /> the two highways. <br />. The City Council felt at that presentation the needs of Arden Hills were not being fully <br /> addressed, As a result of that meeting, Council directed staff to procure a traffic study of <br /> the area, <br /> The Staff has discussed the perimeters of this study with the City Engineer Mr. Greg <br /> Brown, Attached is a memo from Mr. Brown outlining the recommended scope of the <br /> study he feels appropriated and a preliminary cost estimate for the study. <br /> Recommendation <br /> The Public WOTks Superintendent recommends council review Mr. Brown's memo and <br /> approve resolution #98-06 directing BRW to do a traffic study for the Highway 96ITrunk <br /> Highway 10 interchange within the City of Arden Hills, <br />. <br />
