AGREEMENT FOR CURBSIDE RECYCLING SERVICES 7.::C-::::"JE'J <br /> DEe 17 1997 <br /> Agreement made as of , between the City of Arden Hills, ~erea er the <br /> City) and E-Z Recycling, Inc., a Minnesota Corporation (hereafter the Contractor{\'l . C ".".:~:: 1..2 <br /> The City and the Contractor agree as follows: <br /> 1. Definitions <br /> 1.1 - "Area" means the entire area of the City of Arden Hills. <br /> NOTE: All boundaries, unless otherwise noted, fall in the center of City streets such that they <br /> include residents in the one-half of the named street. <br /> 1.2 "Recyclable Materials" means newsprint and non-glossy paper, cardboard, glass <br /> bottles and jars, mixed aluminum and bimetal beverage containers, other <br /> aluminum, "tin" food cans, plastic bottles, magazines, box boards, non-hazardous <br /> completely drained aerosol cans, miscellaneous metals and other materials as <br /> mutually agreed upon by the City and the Contractor. <br /> 1.3 "Recycling Collection" means the taking up of all recyclable materials <br /> accumulated at residential properties (including multi-unit dwellings and <br />. apartments, up to 24 units) and the transporting of the recyclable materials to a <br /> site where they can be processed for the marketplace. This site shall be at an area <br /> designated by the Contractor. <br /> 2. Services to be Performed <br /> 2.1 The Contractor shall collect all recyclable materials on the following days: <br /> EVERY WEDNESDAY <br /> If this scheduled day should fall on a national holiday, the alternate date for <br /> collection will be the following day. The City will provide the Contractor with <br /> maps of the district area noting areas for recycling pickups and areas where <br /> pickup is not desired and/or necessary. <br /> 2.2 The terms of this Agreement shall be from January I, 1998 to December 31, 1999. <br /> 2.3 The City and the Contractor acknowledge that timely performance of collection <br /> services is essential to the success of the recycling program. The work shall be <br /> done with forces which are adequate to insure the satisfactory collection of <br /> disposal of said materials at all times and failure to perform may be excused only <br />. by adverse conditions of weather and similar hindrances which in other work <br /> might be regarded as "act of providence".
