Resolution No. 98-17, "Resolution Approving North Suburban Youth Association <br /> Charitable Gambling Premises Permit Renewal Application at Big Ten" <br /> This Premises Permit renewal involves the applicant's request to continue conducting <br /> Class B pull tab operations at the Big Ten Supper Club for the period from April 1, 1998 <br /> to March 31, 2000. Staff endorses the Premises Permit renewal for this Roseville-based <br /> organization by virtue of the fact that the organization has met the trade area spending <br /> requirement of the ordinance. This organization currently has Charitable Gambling <br /> activities in three other cities (St. Paul, Little Canada, and Roseville) with approximately <br /> 45% of revenue coming from the Arden Hills gambling site. <br /> 4. Resolution No. 98-18, "Resolution Approving 621 Foundation Charitable Gambling <br /> Bingo Hall Premises Permit Renewal Application" <br /> This Premises Permit renewal involves the applicant's request to continue conducting <br /> Class A bingo operations at the Pot 0' Gold for the period from April I , 1998 to March <br /> 31, 2000. Staff endorses the approval of this resolution for this local organization <br /> dedicated toward improving the learning environment for students ofIndependent School <br /> District 621, <br /> 5. Church of St. Mary Romanian Orthodox St. Paul . <br /> a. Resolution No. 98-19, "Resolution Approving S1. Mary's Charitable Gambling <br /> Bingo Hall Premises Permit Renewal Application." This Premises Permit <br /> renewal involves the applicant's request to continue conducting Class A bingo <br /> operations at the Pot 0' Gold for the period from May 1, 1998 to April 30, 2000. <br /> b. Resolution No. 98-20, "Resolution Approving S1. Mary's Charitable Gambling <br /> Premises Permit Renewal Application at the Holiday Inn." This Premises Permit <br /> renewal involves the applicant's request to continue conducting Class B pull tab <br /> operations at the Holiday Inn for the period from May I, 1998 to April 30, 2000. <br /> Staff endorses the approval of these resolutions for this organization by virtue of having <br /> satisfied the ordinance trade area spending requirement by expending $183,736, or <br /> 50.7% of net protit during the last two years (i.e., 1996 - 1997). <br /> Recommendation <br /> Staff recommends Council consider approving each of the above resolutions at the January 26, <br /> 1998 regular Council meeting. Representatives from each of the organizations will be present to <br /> answer any questions Council may have of them. <br /> e <br />
