- ~
CITY OF ARDEN HILLS
. MEMORANDUM
DATE: February 17, 1998
TO: Brian Fritsinger, City Administrator
FROM: Dwayne Stafford, Public Works Director Os .
SUBJECT: Water Line Easement
Backerollnd
The City of Arden Hills has been asked by Mr. Thomas Lynch, to accept conveyance of
easements, for purposes of access to a water service. The proposed easements lay parallel to
Hamline Avenue, and are located on the Thompson property at 3210 Hamline Avenue and the
Lynch property at 3220 Hamline Avenue North.
It appears to the Public Works Director, that Mr. Lynch was assessed for watermain installation;
however, his lot at 3220 Hamline Avenue was not provided a service stub.
When Mr. Lynch built on that property, he approved for the City to tap into the existing line
servicing 3210 Hamline, which he also owned at that time, instead of crossing Hamline Avenue
. and connecting to the watermain, as typically done.
The easements requested would be for the segment of water service from the tap at 3210
Hamline Avenue to the shut off valve at 3220 Hamline Avenue, as shown on the attached
drawing.
Recommendation
The City of Arden Hills Public Works Director recommends the City accept the proposed
easements as described in the attached documents, which have been signed by all affected
parties.
Enclosure
DS\jt
.
---
