MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: February 18, 1998 <br /> TO: Brian Fritsinger, City Administrator <br /> FROM: Dwayne Stafford, Public Works Director ~. <br /> SUBJECT: Assessment Rates <br /> Rack~rollnd <br /> The City of Arden Hills, having followed the required process, has deterrnined the assessment <br /> rate for the 1998 Street Improvement Project to be as follows: <br /> Complete street reconstruction, including concrete curb and gutter, will be $48.85 per <br /> assessable foot of frontage, based on the City's Assessment Policy. <br /> Bituminous Overlay will be $5.20 per assessable foot of frontage based on the City's <br /> Assessment Policy. <br /> Council may note the assessment rates for the past two years were as follows: <br />. ~ Reconstruct Overlay <br /> 1996 $30.32 $5.42 <br /> 1997 $37.96 $4.97 <br /> *1998 $51.18 $5.44 <br /> * This is the estimated amount from the 1998 Feasibility Report. <br /> This years proposed assessment rate is lower than the estimated amount in the Feasibility Report <br /> as a result of changes in the scope of work recommended for 1998. <br /> Recommendation <br /> If Council concurs with these amounts the Public Works Director recommends Council adopt <br /> Resolution #98-27, Establishing the 1997 Street Improvement Assessment Rates. <br />. <br />
