The key aCcomplishments of <br /> the retreat were seen as; <br /> o Philosophy of Governance for Arden Hills in 1998; <br /> "To Provide Basic and Necessary Scope ofQuatity Services Through <br /> the Innovative and Purposeful Use of Physical, Fin.mcial and Human Resources" <br /> "Basic" is defined as those services required for citizen's health, safety and general welfare. <br /> "Necessary" is defined as those limited services beyond basic services that are deemed as <br /> requirements unique to Arden Hills. <br /> . o Key Prioritized Proiects for 1998: <br /> - City facilities; City Hall and Public Works <br /> - TCAAP <br /> - Highway 96 corridor <br /> - Gateway II - IV <br /> o Key Decisions or Directions for 1998 <br /> - To develop a Human Resources and Organizational Desigp. proposal that will: <br /> · Optimize efficiency, effectiveness and productivity <br /> . Add one full time, sunsetted position for key priority and projects in economic <br /> development <br /> · Add one part time building inspection position to address needs <br /> · Consider adding support staff position with key priority projects position <br /> - Adopt a more proactive role and action on key projects of: <br /> · City facilities; create a temporary, leased space proposal and take control of new <br /> construction issues <br /> · TCAAP; council to finalize decision approach, staff to become more proactive <br /> and strategic <br /> 2 <br /> . <br />
